Looking for a random evening to practice throwing stones or play a pick-up game?
We’re partnering with Baxter Arena to offer drop-in and practice times for Aksarben members only on Tuesday, August 18 and Tuesday, August 25 from 7pm-9pm.
You can pay UNO either $10 for one hour or $20 for two hours at the Holland Ice concession stand.
At least two sheets of stones will be set up each evening. If more people show up necessitating a third sheet or more we ask that you help pull out stones. We also ask that you also help with putting away your stones if you are playing during the later time slot.
We can’t guarantee that you’ll have enough people to play a full game, but we hope this provides practice opportunities for people who’ve asked for it!
Note: This is open only for Aksarben members. We ask that you do not bring people who have not yet learned to curl. We will not have instructors on hand. We want to make sure that people who pay to practice or play a pick-up game can do so on their sheets without delays. Public Learn to Curls will begin in the fall.
